Christi Prost (with citation)
Christi has played hockey for the first team for five years and in that time has contributed richly to hockey at Girls High. Christi has played 150 matches for the first team and scored 51 goals – a fine achievement. She has had a very positive influence on the team this year. Her willingness to share her skills and knowledge with the younger players in the squad has really been appreciated and her commitment to the team has been unquestionable. A highly skilled player, who has had to endure huge difficulties, Christi is admired by all and it is indeed a pleasure to award you full Colours for Hockey.

Christine Roos
Christine is a talented hockey player who has made a difference to every team in which she has played. She has an excellent understanding of the game, and is therefore able to read the play very well. She has deceptive pace, an excellent tackle and the ability to beat an opponent so that it looks easy. Christine is a very versatile player who can play anywhere on the field, always dominating her space. She has been selected for the A provincial team for her entire school career as well as representing South Africa at U16, U17 and U18 level. Christine has worked hard to achieve her goals and it is indeed a privilege to award her the highest possible award for sport at this school – Hockey Honours.

Kylie Oosthuizen
Kylie has been an excellent Vice-Head of Hockey. Her leadership both on and off the field has been invaluable. She never ceases to encourage on the field and is a true sportswoman, winning graciously and giving credit where necessary. She has the ability to dispel tension with her sense of humour and her positive attitude has been part of the team’s success. She has added huge value to hockey at Girls High not only through her play, but also through her work ethic, organisation and constant willingness to help. For her excellent contribution to hockey, Kylie is awarded Service Honours.

Christine has been an outstanding captain of the 1st Hockey Team. She sets high standards and expects them to be met, but will never expect more than she herself is willing to give. Her passion for hockey, the school and the first team as well as her work ethic and commitment have all been incredible. Christine has displayed excellent organisational skills, shown good initiative and contributed hugely to the success of the 1st Team. She has added significant value to hockey at Girls High and it is a pleasure to award Christine Hockey Service Honours.
