WHAT IS COMPUTER APPLICATIONS TECHNOLOGY?
The new subject Computer Applications Technology draws from various aspects of Computyping and Computer Studies. It further originates from and is a division of the broader knowledge domain of information and communications technologies (ICTs). ICTs are the combination of networks, hardware and software as well as the means of communication, collaboration and engagement that enable the processing, management and exchange of data, information and knowledge.
ICT develops and changes rapidly, and as a knowledge domain includes the following broad knowledge categories that impact on Computer Applications Technology:
