Physical Sciences

The requirements for a pupil to take Science in Grade 10 are very similar to those needed for Mathematics. Only a limited number of learners can be accommodated. As with Mathematics, hard work is a prerogative in Science. Theory needs to be studied and then applied. Learners taking Science must be prepared to do a great deal of extra work on their own.
Self-study from study guides is also very important in this subject where knowledge needs to be applied.

To achieve success, remember the following points before deciding to take Science:

  • Attitude: always be positive and enthusiastic about the subject.
  • Hard work: the educators cannot do all the work for the learners. The learners must commit themselves.
  • Parents: need to support their children and offer them the opportunity to practise the calculations at home.

"I think and think, for months, for years: 99 times the conclusion is false, the hundredth time I am right." Person of the 20th Century: Albert Einstein.

Science learners need a small percentage of this perseverance to achieve well in Science.
