TENNIS
PHSG tennis is a dynamic and ever-growing sport. There are four senior and four junior teams that play in the North Gauteng High Schools League every year (See Results 2007). PHSG has a young and dynamic head coach, Ms Tarryn Terblanche who was a professional tennis player and has now turned to professional coaching. She coaches the top 20 tennis players on the school ladder. Our second young and dynamic coach is Ms Jesslyn Coetzee who coaches the lower ranked junior and senior players. We are very fortunate to have ten tennis courts that are utilized every afternoon. There are two squad training sessions a week for ladder players on Monday and Thursday and there is a grade 8 beginner program on a Tuesday. In addition there is social tennis offered on Wednesday afternoons.
