Traffic, Access
and Parking
Access to PHSG for visitors with appointments is Gate
1. All visitors will be required to sign the logbook
at the guard house between the hours of 07:00 and 16:00.
In the mornings and afternoons girls are dropped and
fetched from the parking bays to the west of the school.
Entrance for cars is at Gate 3, in Park Street, opposite
Orient Street, and the exit point is Gate 5.
Parents are, however, allowed to use Gate 1 before
07:00 and after 16:00. If they have an appointment or
special permission, they may enter at Gate 1 between
those times and complete the logbook at he guard house.

Parents may not enter at Gate 1 to drop off their daughters
or make a U-turn before they reach the guard house.
With 90 members of staff entering the property in the
mornings, it causes congestion and is dangerous for
the girls. At no time is parking allowed in this area.
When evening and weekend functions occur, parents will
be notified of any special parking arrangements. The
general policy is that parking happens in the designated
areas when entering at Gate 3. When this area is full,
Gate 1 will be opened and parents will be directed to
an open area below the tennis courts. Parents are not
permitted to park directly in front of the school, as
this area is reserved for staff members.
There are some one-way roads on the property and some
NO PARKING areas. Please observe these directions. Please
also keep the parking bays marked “Executive Parking”
free at all times, as it is sometimes necessary for
the Headmistress or her Deputies to leave the property
and return at a later stage. They also attend most evening
functions.
Please observe the 15km/h speed limit at all times.
We really appreciate everyone's consideration and support
in these traffic matters, as they are for everyone's
convenience, for a smooth and efficient traffic flow
and for the safety of your daughters.
