On Friday 20 July, the prefects of Pretoria Boys' High School (PBHS) came to pay their sister school an annual visit. Head Boy, Kyle Brown, delivered a refreshing speech on the unrealistic expectation and judgement of women on social media, how women are treated as objects rather than people, and how people can empower themselves and change these negative attitudes.
The PBHS prefects were also surprised by the lively nature of the assembly, with a performance from Rhythmony and a birthday celebration for Deputy Head Girl Kiese Mpasa, admiring the warm atmosphere. The prefects of both schools later had a light breakfast and the chance to socialise.
The PHSG prefects also went to PBHS, where Head Girl, Tshegofatso Matlou, also gave a speech. A Canadian choir, the Kokopelli Youth Choir, also put on an amazing performance at the PBHS assembly.
