Love is in the Hall at the Valentine’s Day Concert

On 14 February, the school's annual Valentine's Day Concert was held in the school hall.

The evening was opened by Katinka Sik and Elke du Toit. Before the concert began, Elke read a poem Beauty is Love. The orchestra and cello, guitar, string, saxophone and flute ensembles, made it a night to enjoy. The concert kicked off with an upbeat rendition of Let's Get Loud! performed by the school orchestra. What really made the evening a night worth remembering was that our very own guitar ensemble played the slightly more improved version of Despacito with dancers and guitarists. Pretoria Boys High School honoured us with their wonderful gumboot performance and our ballet dancers graced the stage with delicate dancing. Rhythmony, as well as the senior choir, serenaded us with their beautiful voices. The senior marimba group, aka Hotstix, performed songs which made audience members jive in their seats.

Our school choir made our heartstrings reverberate with Billy Joel's And So It Goes, An Irish Blessing and the heart-rending, A la Rurro Niño. A magical evening was concluded by the orchestra playing Shallow and their own version of An 80s Medley.

A huge thank you to Mr Brendan Hohls for sharing his beautiful pics with us, we always look forward to seeing them. To view more pics, click here.
