This August, PHSG was heartbroken as we lost not one, but two beautiful souls. One of our ladies, of long standing at PHSG, passed away tragically and unexpectedly, after a brief illness. Mrs Agnes Sindane had been working at our school for 16 years.
She was known to everyone for her lovely smile and good-humoured approach to all situations. No job was too much trouble for her. Mrs Sindane lived for her family – her husband and two sons. She was filled with pride and shyly told of all their many achievements. Our deepest sympathy is extended to the “men in her life” and to Mr P Sindane (her brother, also a colleague at our school) and her entire family.
The news of Vo'nique Naidoo's passing left Girls' High very emotional. Vo'nique only started with us at the beginning of 2019, despite this short time with us, she made many friends and had a huge impact on those around her. Every single person in the Girls' High community has been touched by her death. Vo'nique has taught us to have compassion, she has taught us to look out for one another and to stand united. Despite this, we continue to miss her every day and wish she was here to fill her empty chair.
