Friday evening (15 November) was joyful for many reasons. The music roused us to excitement for the coming festive season with old favourites such as Hark the Herald Angels Sing but there was also quirky version of The Twelve Days of Christmas with a distinctly South African touch and a serenely beautiful dance item from Mrs Russell and her daughter. The innovative and wonderfully unpredictable Sleigh Bell Ride duet by Mrs Gericke and Ms Van Graan was ringing in our ears long after the concert. Mrs Van Heerden explained where the many donations were being sent and she thanked the staff of PHSG who provided a gift parcel for every child at the ?Little Abels Home?. This is surely in the spirit of Christmas! A grateful word of thanks to Mrs Hohls and the music staff, the young gentlemen who joined our orchestra and the Candlelight Choir for the evening, as well as the readers and the PHSG Rock Band for the scintillating music. The Parklane trailer with its twinkling lights, great coffee and the scrumptious picnic parcels was a hit once again!
